Cryptographic Password Generation

Generates passwords using crypto.getRandomValues — the same API browsers use for TLS. Configurable length (8–128), character categories, and ambiguous-character exclusion.

Fisher-Yates List Shuffler

Paste any newline-separated list and get it back in a uniformly random order. Single-line input shuffles individual characters. All randomness from crypto.getRandomValues.

Entropy & Strength Feedback

Live entropy display in bits with a four-tier strength label (Weak / Fair / Strong / Very Strong) so you can judge password quality before generating.

How the Password & Shuffle Generator Works

Both tools use the browser's crypto.getRandomValues API — the same source of randomness used in TLS key generation — so output is suitable for credentials and randomized test data.

  1. Choose a mode: Switch between Password and Shuffle using the mode toggle in the toolbar.
  2. Configure password options: Set a length from 8 to 128, enable the character categories you need (uppercase, lowercase, digits, symbols), and optionally exclude visually ambiguous characters like 0/O and l/1/I.
  3. Generate or shuffle: Click Regenerate to produce a new password, or paste a list into the Shuffle panel and click Shuffle to randomize the order of items.
  4. Copy the result: Click the Copy button next to the output. The label changes to Copied! for two seconds and then reverts.

Why Client-Side Matters for Passwords

Generating passwords or shuffling sensitive lists through a remote server means that data crosses a network, passes through server logs, and may be stored. This tool does none of that.

Zero transmission: crypto.getRandomValues runs inside your browser's JavaScript engine. No password or list item is sent to any C³ MindLoop server.

No persistence: Nothing is written to localStorage, sessionStorage, or cookies. Closing or refreshing the page clears all state.
